Alliance Scientific Solutions is currently looking for a 3rd Shift Food Operations Manager in a suburb outside of Bozeman, MT for a national food manufacturing client that specializes in the bakery industry.

Job Summary

The 3rd Shift Food Operations Manager is responsible for the entire plant, while on their shift. Leading by example the production manager coordinates and monitors all production, baking, packaging, staging, and boxing activities while ensuring compliance with GMP, company policies, regulatory requirements, and food safety guidelines.

WHAT RESPONSIBILITIES WILL I HAVE???

  • Maintain operational efficiencies in accordance with the budget

  • Maintain or improve upon product quality

  • Insure all employees adhere to company policies and procedures

  • Lead all assigned supervisors while on shift

  • Train plant supervisors on proper GMP's.

  • Help maintain food safety policies and procedures

  • Oversee the hiring and training of new employees for the plant that are on designated shift

  • Develop teamwork between departments.

  • Responsible for oversight and training of all workplace safety programs for assigned shift.

  • Responsible for oversight and training of all product quality programs for assigned shift.

  • Responsible for oversight and training of all Food Safety and Food Security programs for assigned shift.

  • Responsible for oversight and training of all product quality programs for assigned shift.

  • Responsible for oversight and training of all HACCP programs

  • Responsible for assisting management with the supervision, evaluation, and training of all plant employees

  • Responsible for identifying when training is needed for all employees on shift

  • Ensuring proper training needed is done

  • Document that the training has been completed

  • Keep the training on file

  • Evaluate employees as directed

  • Keep evidence of evaluations, training, corrective action, and other pertinent employee information on file.

  • Participate on Food Safety Committee, HACCP Team, Food Security Team, Safety Committee, and other groups as needed

  • Attend meetings and training as directed

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS WILL I NEED?

  • The Operations Manager is expected to attend and complete all assigned training assignments necessary to ensure success in position; required by corrective active; or determined by Production Manager or needs of the company

  • The Operations Manager is expected to obtain and maintain forklift certification within 90 days position start

  • The Operations Manager is expected to obtain and maintain first-aid and CPR certification within 1 year

  • Must be okay in a warehouse/refrigerated environment

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.

WHAT IS REQUIRED OF ME TO OBTAIN THIS POSITION?

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Four year degree in related field preferred

  • At least four years prior food manufacturing management/supervisory experience

  • Warehouse experience (preferred)

  • Knowledge of milling operations (preferred)
