High School Chemistry Teacher

Education: Classroom Teaching level3

Applicant will be expected to teach chemistry to high school students at all academic levels from conceptual through Advanced Placement (AP). Detailed knowledge of state and national curriculum standards in chemistry is expected. Ideal applicant will have excellent classroom management skills and demonstrate mastery of effective instructional strategies and learning assessments. The applicant will demonstrate knowledge and understanding of adolescent growth and development. Applicant will possess excellent interpersonal skills, integrity, and show the ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, parents, administrators, and the community. Mount Greylock Regional High School is moving into a new building in September, and we are excited to have new, modern laboratory space and equipment. A dynamic hands-on lab component is a vital part of chemistry education, and the applicant will play a vital role in developing a student lab experience utilizing the new facilities.
