HOW TO DO AT THE CAREER FAIR & WHAT TO DO AFTER CAREER FAIR
  • Think of what career opportunity position you really want and also have a back up position.   Sometimes you can take a lower position just to get in the company and once you are working for the company you can apply within to get that dream position.  Never limit your opportunities
  • Visit every employer at the event and network.  Recruiters sometimes move to other companies.   Always network!
  • Ask each recruiter for their contact information to stay in touch
  • If they employer asks to go online and apply online it can mean that they are interested in you- remember that employers track resumes online and many require that first you apply online.   Many recruiters will flag your paper resume and then go back to their office and look to see if you followed the instruction to apply online.
  • Network with other career seekers.
  • After the career fair take the time to review each employer website and see if there may be other opportunities online
  • After the career fair send thank you notes to each recruiter and keep following up

All employers advertising at www.latcareers.com and attending our career fairs are EEO and all career seekers are encouraged to apply for all job positions of their interest and attend all career fairs.
